Sandra Torres Granovsky is a second-generation American of Latin American descent from Los Angeles, California. A graduate of UC Berkeley, where she studied film theory and anthropology, Sandra quickly immersed herself in filmmaking and visual anthropology after college.

Sandra began her career under the mentorship of editor Dan Lebental and director Jon Favreau, contributing to films like Elf, Zathura, Iron Man, and several Marvel titles, as well as hits like Couple's Retreat and The Break-Up. She edited her first feature, Cages, in 2005, and has since worked on a diverse range of projects across feature films, television, and commercials..

Her notable credits include Alpha for director, Albert Hughes with Studio 8 and Columbia Pictures, The Opening Act for Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Picture Show Productions and comedian/director Steve Byrne, as well as ABC’s television series, Promised Land. More recently, Sandra edited Scrambled for writer/director Leah McKendrick for Lionsgate Films and Dear Kelly with director Andrew Callaghan and Channel 5.

In addition to her editing work, Sandra is an active mentor in UC Berkeley's Cal Job Shadow Program and serves on juries for the Children and Family Emmys and the Women in Film 2025 Artisan and Crew Fellowship.
