Sandra Torres Granovsky is a second generation American of Latin American descent who grew up in Los Angeles, California. Torres Granovsky attended UC Berkeley where she took an interest in film making and studied film theory and anthropology. During her college years at Berkeley she worked on as many film and video productions while developing a strong interest in visual anthropology and storytelling.

Torres Granovsky came up working under editor and mentor Dan Lebental, with director Jon Favreau on films such as ELF, ZATHURA, & IRON MAN as well as various Marvel films and hits such as COUPLE’S RETREAT and THE BREAK UP.  She cut her first feature film, CAGES in 2005 and has since edited on a diverse range of projects from feature films to commercials and television. Some of the projects include ALPHA for director Albert Hughes with Studio 8 and Columbia Pictures, THE OPENING ACT for Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Picture Show Productions and comedian/director Steve Byrne. Torres Granovsky more recently edited the ABC television series PROMISED LAND for show runner Matt Lopez and the feature film SCRAMBLED for writer/director Leah McKendrick and Lionsgate Films.
